Can You Keep A Secret?

I think these wagtails (Rhipidura leucophrys) are cute little creatures. I'm wondering how they earned the reputation here in Australia of bringing bad luck. They were also believed to eavesdrop on human secrets and tell them to others.

I made sure I said nothing while this little bird bounced around my feet - I was too busy eating a scone with jam and cream to be telling any secrets!
