The South London car club enthusiasts were out in force at Oxleas Wood Cafe today, with this striking number just one of over 20 post-war vehicles, ranging from exotic US imported Chevrolets and Pontiacs to a more humble A-reg Vauxhall Victor.

We walked up Shooters Hill mainly to go to the official opening of Severndroog Castle, but as we had a 90-minute wait until we could tour the building, we walked through the woods to the cafe.

Unfortunately, it was a bit of a hazy day so the views from the top of the Castle weren't perfect, but as the tower will now be open three afternoons a week at least until September, we might return when the air's a bit clearer.
