In my Garden of Memories

Good day my friend,
and nice to meet you
in my shady summer
garden. What sorrow
may have hurt your
pride, what loss did
burst your anger into
tears? Or is it envy
calling for the object
of possessive love
to soothe you for
eternity? Why hide
your smile behind
that pout, o chubby
child, what made
you dim that golden
halo, your gift by
sacred birth, and
grim your heart to
close off all the
rhythms of your
flashing dance, to
mute the keynotes
of your jolly flute?

What scares you
down into denial
of untimely Joy?

Will you not hear
this aging man to
break your marble
mask, unfold your
wings and sing a
serenade on Life&
Death, on Hope&
Fear&Laughter&
Eternal Beauty,
not to come Here
After, but simply
Now&Here just to
forget about old
Me and Memory.
