Monty Python Live (Mostly)

Jenny, Matthew & I enjoyed a quiet day in today. We pulled out all the stops on a tasty indoor barbeque. Don't worry, we didn't build a bonfire in the living room and there were no naked flames. We had a selection of meats, SPAM, potato salad, SPAM, crisps, SPAM & SPAM, all lovingly prepared in the comfort of our flat, & eaten outside in the garden. We finished our Sunday feast with another slab of Jenny's home made, Hummingbird Bakery coffee cake. Amazing!

This evening however, Jenny & I took it up a couple of notches & treated ourselves to the showing of Monty Python Live (mostly) at the cinema. NOBODY expected such an excellent show, & it did not disappoint. The Python's have still got it. Amongst their weaponry are such diverse elements as comedy genius, originality, spontaneity & energy, now tinged more than ever with a real poignancy and greatness. It felt as though we were watching the real end of an era, a wonderfully hilarious and surreal one, that thankfully we had the opportunity get a glimpse into.

'Always look on the bight side of life'.
