Queen!

Or at least May and Taylor with Adam Lambert, through the eyes of someone who is 5'2" at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Yes tall folk, when you stand up, the rest of us are pretty much resigned to watching TV....

Anyway a great concert, good sound system, and all the old favorites. Adam Lambert did vocals, and while he had a fantastic voice on the loud, high notes, he didn't seem to do subtle. Lovely to see Freddie make an appearance on a couple of songs, Roger and his son did drums and percussion, the younger guy helping out dad on drums on a couple of songs. Brian May did a guitar solo that went on and on and on and on.... They even did "Who Wants To Live Forever", but no "Hammer to Fall" or "Don't Stop Me Now", but maybe they weren't big over here?

Sat next to a lady who had created Queen dolls. Roger looked like Rod Stewart and "Old Freddie" bore a close resemblance to Michael Jackson. "Young Freddie" in his leotard could have done with a chest wig. However scoff we may, the lady had been angling after a backstage pass, and half way through the concert, she and her dolls disappeared!

At the end we got "We Will Rock You", "Bohemian Rhapsody", We are the Champions" (complete with crown) and at the very end, with the entire audience on their feet, they snook in the British National Anthem :)

Brilliant!
