Thistle Down

Glayson

So many prayers,
For you were prayed.
And so many joys,
Were cheerfully displayed.
Because of you.

Little brown eyes,
that were slanting and long.
Life you made for us,
Just one happy song.
Because of you.

O how we loved,
To have you around.
Your chattering tongue,
Was a sweet, happy sound.
Because of you.

Life would of been empty,
If you hadn't came.
You made sweet tones for us,
To call out your name.
Because of you.

Peggy wanted to take you,
And Marilyn...you see.
Had to give up,
So that left you...for me.
And I love you.

Glayson was Ethel's last child of 13. We were born a few months apart. Glayson is a master carpenter and I thought this was a fitting picture. This headboard was carved by Simon Gisin for my parents. It's a representation of plumeria flowers and their love of Hawaii - where we lived for 8 years.
