Blue Bells

Snuggled into the crevice of the warm orange limestone in a disused quarry these harebells were just soaking up the sun. All quiet down in the dip and the heat was palpable.

Less of a ding-dong and more of a ting-a-ling here I feel, as they were so dainty wafting on their tiny stalks, with their gorgeous blue flowers nodding gently on the warm breeze.

The butterflies were not as numerous as yesterday - probably I was there at the wrong time of day. Creeping up on a few they just flitted off - they really did see me creeping up! Obviously not as good as I thought at my stealth tactics.
