Towering into view

An early start for me today as I travelled back from Stafford to Glasgow via Manchester to join Will. I got back into Glasgow in time to join the celebrations for the reopening of Glasgow Tower. At 127 metres tall the Glasgow Tower is currently the tallest tower in Scotland. It holds a Guinness World Record for being the tallest tower in the world in which the whole structure is capable of rotating 360 degrees.

We were delayed in getting a trip up the tower but that meant we were treated to a great view of setting sun reflected in the Govan Graving docks. The new Southern General Hospital dominates the skyline.

Afterwards we joined in the launch party for BBC on the Quay.
