Discovered these hungry little blighters, munching on dandelion leaves, by my front steps. But who are these black & amber larval forms of Lepidoptera & what will they become?

... my fellow blipper, philnphil, tells me that they are the caterpillars of the tyria jacobaeae cinnabar moth.
