Cleaning Windows

"The world is fully of willing people. Those willing to work, and others willing to let them!"

After all of yesterday's zooming all over London, today was the complete opposite!

Last year, we were miraculously introduced to Tracy who cleans windows amongst other things. Ours really needed it, so we arranged a time, and within half an hour, we had clean windows on our single - inside AND out! On Saturday, we happened to bump into her again, and another date was quickly set for the same treatment.

Here is Tracy, doing a grand job in getting moss off the skylight. It took her several attempts. (We seem to be having a particularly bad problem with mould and moss this year.) She LOVES cleaning and is passionate about what she does, and is therefore very good at it. We had a good chat about lots of things and she even started G off on a loom band! She's coming back next week to pressure wash the decking which is looking rather worse for wear despite having it stained last year.

Popped into Guildford later to look for a few things for the Lodge one of which was a parasol and a very specific light bulb (G9). Other stuff just has to wait for another day as we are off to Broadstairs tomorrow, to visit the place where Morelli's (Italian Gelato) began. Can't wait! I am sacrificing my annual trip to Bath for this. According to Googlemaps, they are almost the same distance apart from where we are, but in opposite directions of course! I knew Kent was big, but 104 miles to Broadstairs from here in Surrey; what a surprise. Not complaining, just saying.

Thank you to some of my lovely Blip-buddies for putting yesterday's entry into Spotlight. Thrilled as always. :D

PS. G is not really given to just standing and watching people work; just that the phrase fitted well with this picture and permission was obtained from Tracy to post this!

PPS. [Again - not complaining, just saying...] What is it with spiders?? They're er - annoying me quite a bit with their incessant spinning of cobwebs when I clear them. Tracy tells us the Park owner is treating wood with Peppermint Oil on one of their other sites before recommending it to everyone else. I'll be more than happy to be the one who trials it on our site. :D
