Glad

all over

Part of a spectacularly bargacious trip to the market on Saturday. Somehow I timed it just right and managed to acquire pounds of extra stuff just because the stall-holders were wanting to pack up and go home. Even at full price the veg is half the price (or less) of supermarket produce, and it's much more fun to go there and have a bit of banter with people than to pick chilly packets off the shelves.

And now there's an Aldi on the market square too you can do your whole shop without trudging all over town trying to avoid getting run over as you cross roads jammed with cars, or going all round the houses because the planners have got a massive road cutting across where you want to go.

Almost civilised, and almost like living in a proper town with proper shops for local people
