Katie in Barcelona

She certainly din not turn her back on me, which was my fear from yesterday. Eva took me to see Katie Melua perform in Barcelona tonight. It was a really good concert with a mix of her own material and excellent cover versions of songs from people like Leonard Cohen, Janis Joplin, Simon and Garfunkel, and even my friend Shirley Bassey.

I saw her a few years ago at the Palau de La Musica in Barcelona, with a much bigger group of musicians. This was much more low key, but still excellent.
