...Italian Prisoners of War : Genaro Vittoritti on right worked on the property for about 20 months...he looked after me during the War...1945...

...Genaro used to sing Italian songs to me, the baby of the of the family...he could not speak English...

...After he was returned apparently (by the homeland) by the government - he was never heard from again..

...My Mother and Father said he used to cried when he had to leave...as it was so apparent...

...I walked back about 30 miles from this truck, back again so that he could say Goodbye...

... My mother in later years tried to find him but he was futile....
