Schools Out!

Not only the last day of term for J,K & S but also the last day at their current schools. All three were very excited.

The day started with Sal's leavers assembly held at the Church - All the kids, wearing mortar board hats took their turns to walk down the aisle whilst their teacher read aloud a brief appraisal of the child. All very nice but it was when the kids sang "Give me sunshine" I started welling up.

A couple of hours in work and then back out to Joe and Katy's leavers assembly. The big surprise being the video the parents had secretly made. It was received with a mixture of astonishment and hilarity.

Whilst the rest of the village congregated in either the park or at the D&D, David, Bill and I enjoyed a couple of pints in The Crown discussing matters musical.
