Memories. Very small ones.

Fascinating visit with grandchildren to the centre for computing history. This is a new museum on the outskirts of Cambridge and we found it a rewarding hour. Thirty years of our life is here. This BBC 'B' Micro was our second computer. The first had been a sharp fed with a cassette. But the BBC machine was where we learnt to programme the ping pong ball which knocked holes in the wall.

Then it was Archimedes, then Apple and it has been Apple ever since. Amazing to realise that the BBC machine had 32Kb when we now think of desktop terra bites and even my iPad has 128gigs.

We take it all for granted but spending time in this museum brings home to one how a mere thirty years has transformed the way we live in so many ways.
