Duncan's Building.

There was a time when building owners were proud enough to include their name on their buildings, tasteful enough to select aesthetically pleasing fonts, and concerned enough about punctuation to use the apostrophe! Hey...this one even has a full stop.

Built in the 1920s (I think) on "The Parade" in Island Bay, Wellington.

Oh and - just in case you were wondering - that's an overhead cable for Wellington's excellent trolleybus system: the trolleybuses replaced trams in the 1920s. Trams had been running out to Island Bay since the turn of the last century.

Yes, yes, I know...it's all too nostalgic...but I love it.
