Sourwood

This is one of my favorite of our trees. It starts getting this rather insignificant flowers in the summer and as time goes by, the leaves turn red. I can see it from my kitchen window and it's always quite pretty. I know these flowers are a little blurred, but today it's cooler and breezy and I couldn't catch them standing still. A common name for the tree is "Lily of the Valley" tree because that is what the flowers look like.

The new calf is thriving - he's already running after his mom, quite steady on his brand new legs.
