Batch

Along with those black elasticated shoes that we probably all wore for primary school sports*, the 'roll' seems to have a fascinating number of regional names. It's a batch in these parts (and the barman here told me off last time I asked for a roll), but ten miles north it's a cob. It might also be a barm or a bap. Please let me know of any other variation that I can add to my collection.

*They were daps, and then sand shoes, in my childhood, but I understand that they may also be pumps.
