Lesser Finch

I was going for a hummingbird shot this afternoon, but who can resist this precious young Lesser Finch? Not I. This sweet little youngster was checking out the thistle feeder.

The storms of yesterday have passed, but it was a mostly cloudy day with the promise of warm summer temperatures returning soon. The hard heavy rain obliterated our dahlia plants, but there are buds still on the plants and we are confident that the flowers will also return soon.

I wish dinner would magically appear tonight without effort on my part. A lovely, nice tasty dinner....poof! I guess that's what restaurants are for, right?
