Still Frozen

Queen's Park Boating Pond still contains a large amount of ice - not frozen as such, just a giant inch-thick ice cube covering most of the surface. Watched some kids testing the strength at the edge at lunchtime. As the only adult in the area I should have warned them off, but to be honest my primary concern was for the overall gene pool so I didn't.

This is the longest I can recall the pond being frozen in my lifetime - I think it froze over in the week before Christmas, so that's well over a month now.
