A heated hike

Lord of the Manor and I decided to go for a walk yesterday up Kirkton Glen in Balquidder yesterday. It was supposed to be easy and was only 9km but the heat was a killer, hitting 30 degrees + in the exposed valley, however we did not knock it and stopped for lunch at the river which threw up a nice cold stray. Spotted loads of lovely yellow and blue dragonflies who couldn't care less about the heat! The views over the Loch were beautiful and the pass into Glen Dochart tempting, though we would have needed transport at the other side.
