Holidays

Here's a photo from our trip to Tobermory, Ontario, in July 2008. Tobermory is a small town that sits on a spit of land that separates Lake Huron from Georgian Bay. It's at one end of the Niagara escarpment (yes, the same one that the Falls have to negotiate some way south of here), only here the lower side forms the deep recesses of Georgian Bay whilst the upper side is the shallower Lake Huron. Just off the shore, there's Fathom Five Park, an area given over to diving where the escarpment can be traced underwater. For us non-diving types, there are plenty of boat trips available and this photograph just highlights the fabulously clear water in the area.
