Bridge on the River Tweed

Form and function meet,
In graceful arches of stone,
Trains rattle over.

This is the viaduct over the River Tweed .... here's a bit of info about it ...

Royal Border Bridge spans the River Tweed between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Tweedmouth in Northumberland, England. It is a Grade I listed railway viaduct built between 1847 and 1850, when it was opened by Queen Victoria. The engineer who designed it was Robert Stephenson (son of George Stephenson).

Back blipping this .... today we got this weeks staff picks and I was glad to see two of my favourite photographers features jacklloyd and ve. Well done to both!
