Quod oculus meus videt

Late Light, Temple of Diana, Weston Park

Rather than an early morning visit we popped up to Weston Park as the sun set this evening. One of the reasons was to cpature images of the James Paine Bridge at Temple Pool. I will try to post some of the images over the weekend to Flickr.

We met the tenant of the Temple of Diana, along with his friends. This was his view from the patio, looking out over the parkland. It has an uninterrupted view due to the use of a Ha-Ha fence in front of the path, which was designed by Capability Brown. For those who are not familiar with the term, it takes advantage of an excavated trench and wall to prevent the stock animals escaping the park and into the area behind the Temple.

Not bad for a rented property!
