Three tripods

Three tri pots sounds like nine. These pots were used to render down whale blubber, and something probably oil used to flow from the top pot to the nearer lower pot. Gradually getting presumably hotter and purer. Maybe there were usually three of them does anyone know. I have only seen them singularly till now.
More rust of course, and what lovely texture.
