Let the games begin Glasgow 2014

Another tropical day in Glasgow and a family outing to Glasgow Green to the Opening Ceremony Party for the XX Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014. We were treated to some fabulous music from local artist, past and present with Lulu as the headliner. Then the live link to the BBC coverage from Celtic Park. A flyover by the Red Arrows disappearing into the sunset and a multitude of stars including Rod Stewart, baton bearers including Sir Chris Hoy and a lot of excited athletes. The finale was a citywide firework display. Another late night home by train and chats with the volunteers - Clydesiders.
