HEY YOU WOKE ME UP BUD.........

..... today has been a "designated" National Tree Day as organised by the Planet Ark group. A tremendous cause and in Penrith today there were some many hundreds of new trees planted by the public.

Thought I would go looking for a "different" tree shot and came up with this lemon scented gum reaching for the sky! They are probably my favourite gum tree with their crisp clean trunks. This is a top portion of quite a large one and by its girth suggest up in the region of 60 to 80 years old.

Then noticed this young lady having a nice snooze sitting on a branch basking in the dappled sun on another tremendous winters day reaching around 20 deg C.
Thought it looked okay to be my Blip today... okay another bird but she is on a tree!!!
