Pilgrims Paths

“Time, like an ever-rolling stream, Bears all it's sons away;
They fly forgotten as a dream dies at the opening day.”
― Isaac Watts

Began the day with an interesting dream, which seemed to relate to the day ahead in some respects.

Several shorter presentations this morning from assorted attendees, followed by two shorter - but very interesting and informative - personal accounts of a Bahai pilgrimage and The Hajj. Fascinating stuff! Then after lunch - another delicious meal - a longer account of a Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain. Fascinating insight into the motivation behind quite a momentous undertaking - six weeks walking with fellow pilgrims along the old route. Not content with that the pilgrim also extended his little stroll to Finisterre [the End of the World] on the West coast of Spain.

During the following free time I wandered around the grounds to get some photos, including this one of what looked like quite a threatening build up on this hot and humid afternoon. It just sort of disappeared, so I guess it just wandered over to provide a dramatic backdrop for my photo, then went on its way!

Another excellent evening meal then most of the group headed off for a walk. I had some reading to catch up on so I relaxed in the walled garden with my book, only occasionally disturbed by a green woodpecker charging around the place and calling out.
