Bet you didn't know....

That if you use a wheelchair and go to the cinema, concerts, sporting events etc. you usually have to sit with your 'carer' in an area reserved for wheelchair users which means you are segregated from your friends and family. It can be soul destroying! You miss out on the 'group' experience with those you love and experience a 'group' of other people that you don't know, sometimes have little to nothing in common except a set of wheels!
I'm pleased to say that in the Commonwealth Games venues they have done their very best to try and accommodate families sitting together, where a wheelchair user is part of the group. Today at the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome we managed to do just that. We had a great time enjoying each other's company as well as some great cycling.
