A Road to Nowhere

Another hot day. We had a walk around Watergrove Reservoir which is near Rochdale.
The reservoir was built in the 1930s to provide Rochdale with much needed water.
The construction necessitated the submerging of the small village of Watergrove
The recent dry spell has lowered the water level and this blip shows the old main road (Ramsden Road) disappearing into the water.
If you view Large you will see part of the flagstone floor of Watergrove Mill on the left.
