Glorious Petunias

I fell in love with petunias while living in Muscat. They were the exclusive flowers in the public gardens and on road verges during winter. Summer was far too hot for them.

In UK I grow them in summer in large containers on the patio. They seem to erupt every July, falling over the sides and stretching for the sun. They took on a growth spurt over the weekend and have almost obliterated the begonias and gazanias that I planted with them. And they have such a lovely scent too. Nothing like sitting on the patio in the evening amongst them.
