Catcher

This 20th printing of "The Catcher in the Rye," published in 1962 and personally inscribed in 1967, was the second copy of one of my favorite novels. Its pages are loose and it's bound together with a leather boot lace. The Signet Book-published edition cost 50 cents. The iconic American coming-of-age novel's author, recluse J.D. Salinger, died on Wednesday, January 27.
