Playa La Madera

I think I have mentioned before that Zihuatanejo Bay is ringed by four primary beaches, Playas Principal, La Madera, La Ropa, and Las Gatas. Each of the beaches has its own charm and the many visitors to our town can have a different type of experience depending upon which beach they choose for the day. In fact, if you were to include the beaches in Ixtapa, 10 km to the north, a tourist could spend an entire week here and never walk the same sand twice. Of course, most people pick the beach closest to their hotel and spend their vacations there. The hotels of La Madera are very close to the beach. Combine that proximity with on sand restaurants and long, gentle waves and many guests staying here see little reason to go anywhere else.
