Gold finch

I see these little yellow birds a lot, but never sitting still, always flying. This evening, this one was sitting on the branch and until I got pretty close, he didn't move. Unfortunately the light was fading and it's not the greatest shot, but I was just glad to have gotten it.

It was chilly again today - I sure hope the heat comes back. Mr M had to do some mandatory overtime tonight - he used to work a lot of overtime but these days he doesn't care for it. If he doesn't volunteer from time to time, they plant requires him to do a shift. They call it "fair share."
