Shag Rock & the Torlesse Range

I loved the look of the sunrise on the distant Southern Alps this morning, didn't have a long lens with me, so framed the Torlesse Range with Shag Rock. I know that some know Shag Rock by another name (not to be mentioned in polite company!) but I really like it's architectural simplicity. Porters Pass is at the far left hand end of the range.

Wikipedia says The Southern Alps is a mountain range extending along much of the length of New Zealand's South Island, reaching its greatest elevations near the island's western side. The term "Southern Alps" generally refers to the entire range, although separate names are given to many of the smaller ranges that form part of it.
