Commonwealth Games Day 8

After the morning session all volunteers and anybody else who wanted could join in some 'fun' time!

These vehicles are the ones that pick up the discus, javelin and shot and bring them back!

The guys who work them decided to put them on the 100m start line and race them, this was them getting ready to set off!

There was also a race called the 'media mile', this is where most members of the media race each other ruins the track, it was great fun to watch, you had the ones that were running for pride and others doing it just for the hell of it!

It was then the turn of the volunteers, boys race then girls, needless to say I did not break any records or win any medals!

Still good fun though, tonight I'm going to watch the evening session of the professional athletes!
