Harvest.

I think the seasons are racing the months this year.

There was an Autumnal nip in the air this morning.
The harvest is well under way,
The blackberries are ripe and sweet - and its a bumper crop.

There were a pair of Lapwings in the meadow this evening - now a sadly rare sight - usually first seen here in the Autumn. I couldn't get close enough to them to get a decent shot, so here a picture of a straw bale that didn't take flight at the sight of a speedy dog!
