Don't touch

A wonderful day spent in Aberdeen. Much of it in the recently restored Duthie Park in the south of the city. It is a wonderful space and one of a number of great parks in the city.

Duthie Park hosts the winter gardens which are a delight. We went to the tropical house where the lens misted up, the cactus house with the speaking (and cheeky) cactus - Wed and Sun afternoons only and the Japanese gardens where Ellen did a sculpture residency many years ago - the sculpture has alas gone.

In one greenhouse, the sign said - ''Don't touch the carnivorous plants". Sound advice.
