Shiny hoverfly

A whole day in Manchester for work and again I was brave enough not to take a camera. That meant a hunt around the garden for wildlife this evening.

I think because I was tired as I found it hard to get a shot that was in focus. I found a little green shield bug but he wasn't playing ball and kept giving me the cold shoulder, so I got a lot of bottom shots!

I even had three spiders but they were all hanging on their webs agains our garage and the background colour of the garage was too light.

For a few seconds I managed to get a shot of this hoverfly, well I think it's a hover? It's body and wings were so beautiful.
