Martin Walker

Yesterday I saw on Facebook my kid brother school was celebrating it 40 yrs anniversary. I phoned the school to get an anniversary booklet and was pleasantly surprised to find one of the 1st photos in it was Martin with some teachers.
My kid brother had autism and originally there was very little in our area in way of help/services for him. Cut a long story short he was fortunate enough to go to an school that was for autistic children, this wasn't an easy decision for my mum and dad to make as it meant he had to stay/sleep (boarding school) Monday to Friday then he would come home at the weekend. But this was for his greater benefit.
The school is called peterhouse and it started with one parent (pat minshull) who wanted to do something for her son (peter)
Over the years they have been 215 pupils and families that have benefited from their care/dedication and experience. The service they provide for the pupils and their families is massive and is essential.
