Wheelchair racing

I think the woman in the pink-wheeled chair if Jade Jones, who won bronze tonight.
Early start to make sure we weren't late - and we were in the stadium more than an hour before the start, but it was good to savour the developing atmosphere.
The morning session had some decathlon and heptathlon events, 400m hurdles heats, men's 110m hurdles and 800m heats and men's and women's 1500m wheelchair heats. Both Kenya and Ghana had 3 in each - it can't be easy for them to get to this level.
Our seats were almost central on the long side of the stadium, though fairly far back, and near the sandpits, throwing net and start of 800m events, but opposite side from anything less than 400m.
I've not done much action photography before but thought I might as well try and so now I've a lot of photos to go through! (quite a lot already deleted).
In the afternoon we met up with daughter and family for a wander in Queen's Park before returning to Hampden for the evening session. (the end of the decathlon, more heptathlon, men's 400m semi and finals 0f women's 400m, 1500m, 10,000m and triple jump and final men's 110m hurdles. A lot of Jamaican medals, we now know their National Anthem.
Seats a bit lower and nearer the sandpits
