Ferris wheel in the Central Square

Delfin Basket Tournament in Tampere started today. When the season ended in the spring Emma changed team from Pirkkalan Viri to Tampereen Pyrintö and today was the first official match that Emma played in Pyrintö's shirt. It was quite exciting really, at least for us parents. There are so many C-girls in Pyrintö that they have 4 teams in the tournament. Emma plays in the competition series and her team won both their matches today:

After the noon a powerful thunder storm passed Tampere - it's fascinating to watch heavy wind, rain and lighting from a safe and dry place.

In the evening me and Emma drove to Tampere, shopped a bit and had a walk in Tampere city central with Sami. There is the Tampere Floral Festival in town. The main scene of the festival is the Central Square of Tampere . There are lots of events and concerts during the eight-day festival. Massive floral arrangements, the 26-meter-high Ferris wheel and Dinner in the Sky® are the most visible sights of the event.
