Sea Eagle

I was in the hills in fife today flying model gliders with some friends, practising for the forthcoming competition season when the models were joined by a Sea Eagle.
The models are quite often followed by Buzzards which in the spring can be aggressive if you are near their nesting areas. The sea eagle thankfully seemed curious and followed the model about the sky for a little while before soaring off along the ridge. These birds are big the model has a span of 3 metres which gives some idea of size of the eagle. These birds are still very rare in Scotland, it is only in the last few years that they have been re introduced.

An excellent day out.
