SEWAGE FARM OUTING

I get taken to all the best places. Today it was Skipton sewage farm, or water treatment works I think they are called nowadays, and birds love them. I was more impressed by the proliferation of wildflowers. Not so impressed by how wet I got. It was hardly raining at all, but wading through six foot high flowers, teasels, thistles and weeds along a narrow footpath left my trousers and trainers sodden. And strangely, once my trousers were wet, the nettles began to sting me.

Fortunately the trip was taken in the morning as it has been bucketing down this afternoon.
