Tim

Tim died last night. He was a gentleman and also a huge fount of knowledge in his field of local history, genealogy and the roots of things. He was just a year or two from retirement a while back when he was hit with the unfairest of ailments. It left him stricken and all his knowledge trapped within. Tim had the most beautiful copperplate handwriting. Years ago when the kids were little Z asked him to write a Santa reply at Christmas time to their letter to the North Pole. He obliged and as a supposed afterthought stuck a post-it note on the back with some to-do tasks for the elves. A forgotten touch from a busy Santa. A lovely man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
