Water,water

Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.

Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.


So having excavated a hole that was so deep, that Australia looked like the next stop; the Water Board then erected these large birthday candles to celebrate the fact.
Not quite sure what these structures are, but I had to look around to check that it was not the set for a Dr Who filming.They look quite interesting and no doubt over the next few weeks, we shall be enlightened as to their purpose!
