A Fair Day For The Fair

Or what they call a 'Village Market' (in Merrion Square in the middle of Dublin). Not quite a picnic, but we had lunch here, sitting on the grass with the wean, enormous gulls swooping down and disturbing him and Sam.

A guy under a little marquee was crooning 1950s stuff, and there were lunchers and brunchers everywhere, business people, families and lovers sitting and chatting or sprawling and dozing, consuming and being consumed by this terminus to a run of proper summer weather (with hopefully more to come).

Food was not great, big German sausages in baps. But it was nice to get together, and a long enough time since we've gone out for lunch as a family.
