Church Knowle: Three Parishes Fete 2014

This fete has been held for several decades in the grounds of Church Knowle's former rectory. The parishioners join forces with those of neighbouring Steeple and Kimmeridge to run this popular event. Annual attendance is always above a thousand visitors.

A torrential downpour in the morning gave way to this glorious sunshine by the middle of the day. The water simply evaporated.

A traditional village fete with very little to suggest that Purbeck has yet entered the troublesome 21st century. Time here is of a different quality.
