Gruffalo Wood - again.

After a very busy but really lovely day yesterday, we have much less on today (event-wise, not attire-wise).

We went for a walk this morning around Oversley Wood, which is owned by the Forestry Commission. There is a really pleasant circular walk which runs close to the perimeter of the wood, or you can take one of the many tracks that go off and deeper into the wood.

It takes about 35 – 40 minutes to walk around normally – unless of course you’re taking photographs. It is our Gruffalo Wood when our family come over from Taiwan. The 5 year old loves going there to hunt for Gruffaloes and have a pic-nic.

We went for a delightful supper last night at the home of some friends in the village. We walked there and back with Technophobe and Loosecanon, and all four of us forgot to take a torch for our return journey of about 15 minutes on foot. We had hoped to spot some glow-worms in the pitch dark, but didn’t see any. The sky was amazing though, and really clear.

We are still feeling full after last night’s dinner and the birthday lunch yesterday. They were both delicious though.
