Rømø

We didn't go far today as the North German coast is really interesting so explored it before going across the border to Tonder to get information for that part of Denmark. We decided to camp on the holiday island of Rømø, again part of the national park of Wattenmeer. It is a large sandy island (highest point 19 metres, that we walked up in the evening). It is also a place where people go windsurfing in the north west and kite surfing and sand yachting in the south and west of the island. The beach is firm sand and people drive on it with gay abandon. It does lead to interesting blips where the ferry to nearby Sylt in Germany appears to be floating on the sand and heat haze. The only water is by the gulls. Best seen large

Backblip of troosers.
